The fight against the proliferation of drugs and firearms in communities requires the combined effort of communities and law enforcement agencies. Communities are encouraged to report criminals in their midst instead of taking the law into their own hands as this will be seen as breaking the law.

The fourth National Imbizo Focus Week of the current administration is gaining momentum countrywide and over forty events are currently underway until the 10th of April 2016. Members of national, provincial and local government are interacting with communities across the country throughout the week. The Imbizo activities comprise door-to-door, household, and project visits, as well as stakeholder and community engagements. Communities also interact with their leaders on their local community radio stations.

Today, the Acting Minister of Communications, Mosebenzi Zwane officially opened the National Imbizo Focus Week at Ga-Seleka Community Hall in Lephalale, Limpopo Province.
This is the fourth in a series of Imbizo Focus Week programmes since the current administration took office in 2009. The Imbizo Focus Week started on Monday the 4th and runs until 10th of April 2016. Around forty events are planned in the week ahead.

Government congratulates the South African Revenue Services (SARS) on reaching a landmark R1 Trillion rand in revenue collection. This is a historic achievement for the organization and for the country.
Tax revenue is key to the budget of this country. Government largely depends on this revenue to achieve its long term goals. It is within this context that we call upon South Africans to continue to cooperate with our tax laws.

Government welcomes the decision by the Limpopo Department of Education to close the Mpepule Primary School in Lephalale, Limpopo.
The decision to close the school was reached after it was discovered that the teachers and pupils at the school had been enduring a life of hardship, sleeping in classrooms as they had no scholar transport to take them home after school.
