The Government Communication and Information System in partnership with the National Press Club will host a panel discussion on vigilantism and human rights featuring representatives of the South African Police Service (SAPS), Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR).

The practice of vigilantism is a serious violation of human rights.  The panel discussion seeks to:

Government has noted media reports and social media posts alleging that a South African woman has given birth to 10 babies and reportedly broken the world record.

The posts attribute the birth of the babies to Gosiame Thamara Sithole from Gauteng. 

Government has been unable to verify the authenticity of this birth at our facilities “We need to verify this story and provide assistance where needed,” said Williams.

The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in partnership with Agape Youth Movement will host a webinar on the role of youth in the fight against COVID-19.  

The webinar provides a platform for the youth to:
