On Monday, 24 May, the South African edition of Africa Communications Week 2021. The week-long event will bring together communications professionals, media and press attaches based in South Africa to deliberate on the theme: Changing perceptions on Africa: saving lives, saving livelihoods. The event is hosted by PR Trends ZA, GCIS, Freedom Park Heritage Site & Museum and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.
On Saturday, 22 May 2021, government will hand over land and title deeds to farmers at Tafelkop in the Groblersdal, Sekhukhune District of Limpopo Province.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will lead the handover ceremony supported by Ministers of Public Works and Infrastructure; Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development; Justice and Correctional Services as well as Acting Minister in The Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.
The handover ceremony is the culmination of a land reform process.

South Africa joins the rest of the world in commemorating the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia under the theme “Together: Resisting, Supporting and Healing”. Government calls on everyone to play their part to ensure the safety of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, Queer and Intersex (LGBTQI+) community. We call on all sectors of society to oppose any form of violence committed against LGBTQI+ persons.

Government in partnership with the South African Poultry Farmer's and Supplier's Association will host the Poultry Masterclass Webinar series, an information sharing session on poultry farming and network support available through government agencies and poultry associations.
The Masterclass is part of a series that the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) is hosting to promote entrepreneurship as a contributor to economic growth.

Government joins the rest of the world in commemorating World Press Freedom Day under the theme “Information as a Public Good”. The 3rd of May is a day set aside to realise and raise the importance of press freedom. The 2021 commemoration coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Windhoek Declaration for the Development of a Free, Independent and Pluralistic Press. The seminar in 1991 served as a catalyst to encourage press freedom, independence and pluralism in Africa and in other parts of the world.
