GCIS panel discussion on the impact of misinformation and disinformation during an elections period: 21 May

Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a panel discussion to address the impact of Misinformation and Disinformation during an elections period as part of a National Communication Partnership (NCP).

The NCP is premised on the need for a joint effort around creating awareness of the perils of misinformation and disinformation across society and in all creative and communication disciplines.

The Government Communications and Information System (GCIS) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and Brand South Africa invite members of the media to participate in a virtual panel discussion on Tourism opportunities in the SADC region during Africa month. 

Public-Private Partnership announcing the Marketing, Advertising and Communications Charter Fund

The Marketing, Advertising and Communications (MAC) Sector Council and eQvest Limited hosted a media briefing at The Syrene Hotel today in Sandton, Johannesburg to outline the Advertising, and Communications Charter (MACC) Fund which will be launched at a later stage.

Collection of media accreditation for Northern Cape DDM Presidential Imbizo

Members of the media who have applied for accreditation to cover the upcoming Northern Cape District Development Model (DDM) Presidential Imbizo are advised to collect accreditation cards as follows:

The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) Cluster will host a media briefing on the state of readiness for the upcoming 2024 General Elections.

The media briefing will be led by Ministers of Police, Bheki Cele and Defence and Military Veterans, Thandi Modise and Home Affairs, Aaron Motsoaledi.

Members of the media who have applied for accreditation to cover the 20 Years celebration of Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) are advised to collect accreditation cards.
