Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni assures the public of government's work on cyber security
The State Security Agency (SSA) has been inundated with media enquiries due to a public statement of Minister Macpherson on the claims of R300 million rands allegedly siphoned off from the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure through cybercrime. On the 6th of May 2024, former Minister Sihle Zikalala issued a media statement that he has instituted a full forensic investigation through a multidisciplinary team, which includes the SSA.
Yesterday, Wednesday 3rd of July 2024, South Africa witnessed another key milestone in the operationalise of the government of national unity (GNU) with the swearing-in of the Deputy President, Ministers and Deputy Ministers from across the political parties which are signatories to the Statement of Intent. Given the electoral outcome and the agreement to form a government of national unity, it was therefore no longer possible for the President to fulfil the undertaking he had previously made to reduce the number of the portfolios in the National Executive.

Under the leadership of President Ramaphosa, the 6th administration has achieved the first primary budget surplus in fifteen (15) years. The last time government had a budget surplus was before the 2008 global financial crisis.
The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host the annual Government Exhibition Day on Friday, June 28 at Morena Hall in Mahikeng, in the Northwest province. The purpose of the event is to bring together government departments and stakeholders to highlight and offer necessary services and programs to the public.
