The South African Chapter of the SADC Media awards has launched the 2013 Media Awards Competition which is open to all journalists who are South African nationals. The Award is in the fields of print journalism, radio journalism, television journalism and photojournalism.

President Jacob Zuma delivered the State of the Nation Address (SoNA) on Thursday, 14 February 2013 where he outlined government’s priorities and plans and set the tone for delivery in the year ahead.
Members of the media are invited to the post SoNA media briefing on Infrastructure Development and Job Creation. In attendance will be the Ministers of Trade & Industry, Dr Rob Davies; Labour, Ms. Mildred Oliphant and Transport, Mr Ben Martins.
