Parents urged to educate children on their rights

During this human rights month government encourages parents and communities at large to educate their children on their rights as enshrined in the Constitution. Section 28 in the Constitution of South Africa is devoted to children and outlines the rights that they are entitled to.

1.1 Cabinet reiterates President Jacob Zuma’s call on government, business and labour to work together to grow our economy at a rate that is able to create more jobs.
The State of the Nation Address and the Budget Speech laid the foundation for intensified implementation of the National Development Plan over the next term of the new administration.

It is also clear to us that we are, as the President said, “a nation at work” and that we are creating opportunities on many fronts in our war on unemployment.
