The Ministers will among others unpack socio-economic relief and the strengthening of the performance of the economy under the current conditions.

Government welcomes the arrest of suspect who peddled fake news

Government welcomes the arrest of a 55 year old male suspect who circulated a misleading video clip on COVID-19 test kits. He has already appeared before Court in the Western Cape, on Tuesday 07 April.
The suspect has been charged in terms of the Disaster Management Act Regulation 11(5)(c) which prohibits publishing information through any medium including social media with the intention to deceive people on government measures to address COVID-19.
Call for continued respect of the rule of law during COVID-19 lockdown period

As the country entered into the second week of the lockdown, the National Joint Operational And Intelligence Structure (NatJOINTS) is calling on communities and various organisations to refrain from taking the law into their own hands to enforce Disaster Management Regulations.
The NatJOINTS which comprises of various Government departments, is responsible for the coordination of the Covid-19 operations, including high density policing operations, border control, route security, public health infection containment, etc,.
Pretoria man nabbed after mocking video goes viral

A 23-year old man was arrested for allegedly contravening the Regulations of the Disaster Management Act 2002.
On 27 March 2020 little snippets of a video, in which two young men were seen travelling around Pretoria with one of them continuously swearing, mocking efforts to curb the Covid-19 virus and bragging they do not comply with laws put in place to contain the virus, went viral.
In one of the snippets, one man appears to be standing in front of a police station and continued swearing about the virus.
Economic cluster media briefing on revised lockdown regulations:3 Apr
