Government mobilises men to join the 100 Men March to raise awareness on violence against women and children

Ladies and gentlemen;
We meet here today in order to brief you about the preparations of the Memorial and Official Funeral Services of the late Ambassador Billy Modise.
As you aware that the President, His Excellency, President Ramaphosa declared this a Special Official Funeral (category 1) for Ambassador Billy Modise. The preparations for the Memorial and Funeral are as follows:
Government has scheduled the following briefings/activities for the week 25 June – 01 July 2018. The activities, which are aligned to the National Development Plan and outlined in the Medium Term Strategic Framework 2014-2019, are undertaken to build a better South Africa.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on State Funerals, led by Minister in the Presidency, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, will on Monday, 25 June 2018 brief media on the preparations for the Official Memorial and Funeral Services for the late Ambassador Billy Modise, who passed away at the age of 87.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has since declared a Special Official Funeral (Category 1) for Ambassador Billy Modise which includes a ceremonial guard and military honors.

The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on State Funerals, led by Minister in the Presidency, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, met on Friday to discuss arrangements for the Memorial and Funeral Services for the late Ambassador Billy Modise, who passed on in the evening on Wednesday at the age of 87. President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a Special Official Funeral (category 1) for Ambassador Billy Modise.
