Government welcomes the response by various stakeholders to implement the interventions to address the current outbreak of foodborne illnesses and illicit trade some of which have led to the unfortunate fatalities of children and hospitalisation of some especially in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Free State.
Government extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Jean-Jacques Cornish, a veteran journalist, editor, and authoritative commentator on African affairs, who has passed away.
The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) in partnership with the North West Press Club invites members of the media to a roundtable discussion with Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Kenny Morolong. 1.1.1. Cabinet was briefed on the food borne illnesses and fatalities recorded in various parts of the country, which have led to the tragic deaths of children and resulted in several hospitalisations in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Free State.
Minister in The Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, will brief members of the media on the outcomes of the Cabinet meeting held on 6 November 2024.

Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Kenny Morolong continued to lead service delivery initiatives in celebration of 30 years of freedom and democracy in KwaZulu Natal province, following a successful conclusion of the educational guided tour at Inanda, Durban.
Government led by Deputy Minister in The Presidency, Mr Kenny Morolong, KZN provincial and local government representatives along with private sector will embark on an outreach campaign commemorating the 30 Years of Freedom and Democracy which is celebrated under the theme : “30 Years of Democracy, Partnership and Growth”.
The government will host a series of service delivery, stakeholder and community engagements ahead of the District Development Model Presidential Imbizo. The Imbizo will be hosted on the 8th of November 2024 at uMnini Sportfield, Umgababa, eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal Province.
