The second round of parliamentary media briefings in Cape Town will take place from 10 - 21 September 2001. The format for the briefings will be per Minister and department.

Postponement of media briefings scheduled for 8 to 15 June

Media briefings scheduled for 8 to 15 June 2009 have been postponed until further notice.
This is to allow the newly-constituted Administration to familiarise themselves with the programmes of their respective departments and clusters of Government.
Ministers are also preparing for their Budget Votes, which will be presented shortly in Parliament.

Deputy President to brief media on South Africa's state of readiness for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup
10 June 2009
All media are invited to a briefing by the Deputy President of the Republic, Mr Kgalema Motlanthe, on the country's state of readiness for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. Prior to the briefing, Deputy President Motlanthe will convene a meeting of the 2010 Inter-Ministerial Committee, where he will receive reports from concerned departments on the country's state of readiness for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup.
