Minister in the Presidency, Dr Essop Pahad will hold a first meeting with the newly appointed Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) board members on Thursday, 30 January 2003. Following the meeting there will be a media opportunity where the Minister and the board will address the media on the outcomes and future plans.

In response to media enquiries regarding access to the Parliamentary Media Briefings, GCIS would like to affirm that these briefings are arranged for the media and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
The Media Briefing Week is an opportunity for Government to explain its programme of action for the year, as outlined in the President's State of the Nation Address, to the media and the diplomatic community and for the media to obtain clarity from the executive on the issues involved.
