Vote to make your voice heard

03 November 2026

Government thanks South Africans that participated in yesterday’s (2 November) special voting process. Today, (3 November) marks the second and last day of special voting. Citizens who applied for special voting are encouraged to visit their designated voting station to cast their vote.

Special voting is intended to ensure that eligible voters who registered for special voting have an opportunity to cast their vote.

Government calls on all eligible South Africans to turn out in their numbers tomorrow, Wednesday, 4 November 2026, as the country holds its Municipal Elections. Citizens are encouraged to make their way early to their voting stations as weather predictions indicate isolated showers in parts of the country.
