The Government Communication and Information System in partnership with Agape Youth Movement will host a webinar on the importance of Media literacy. The webinar forms part of the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of Black Wednesday which was commemorated on the 19th October 2022.
The webinar seeks to achieve the following:
- To raise awareness on media literacy and safe information consumption for the youth
- Insight on parental guidance mechanisms available to monitor the information that their children consume from different media.
- Exploration of the role that parents/schools can play in promoting media literacy in children
