No accreditation needed for public

Members of the public do not need to be accredited to attend the Memorial Service for former president Nelson Mandela at the FNB Stadiium and the viewing of his body at the Union Building.

Government has arranged free public transport and park and rides to accommodate mourners and ensure that they are able to get to the stadiums on time. Members of the public are urged to arrive at the park and ride facilities by 5:00am. No cars will be allowed near FNB Stadium and there will be road closures in place from Monday, 9 December.

Government has established an information call centre to assist the public with any enquiries related to the proceedings of the planned events leading up to the funeral of former President Nelson Mandela.
