Minister Gungubele to join Stats SA in counting transient population on Census Night

Minister in The Presidency, Mondli Gungubele will join the Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) team in Cape Town on Census Night to enumerate the transient population as Census 2022 kicks off.

Stats SA will be counting the transient population at various sites across the Province on Tuesday, 02 February 2022 as part of the nationwide Census Night activities marking the beginning of the Census 2022 count.

Populations in institutions, the homeless, hotels, lodges, the transients, hospitals and other communal living quarters are counted on Census Night.
