On Monday, 18 April at 10h30, The Statistician-General, Dr Pali Lehohla, will brief the media on the release of the Vulnerable Groups Series I: The social profile of youth, 2009-2014 report. The report analyses the socioeconomic and demographic profile of the youth in South Africa. It is focusing amongst others, on employment, education, access to housing and basic services, access to food, and the receipt of social grants by youth. The report also highlights some challenges and successes experienced over the five year period between 2009 and 2014. The briefing will be held at Imbizo Media Centre, Cape Town with a link up to Tshedimosetso House (GCIS), Pretoria.
On Thursday, 21 April at 13h00, The Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Films and Publications’ Board, Mr Sipho Risiba will be conducting a workshop with distributors of films, games and publications on Thursday, 21 April 2016, at the Suns Square Hotel, Mills street, Cape Town. After completion of the workshop the COO will brief the media at 13h00.
In addition to these media briefings, Government will from Tuesday, 19 April 2016, host Budget Votes media briefings. The dairy of the budget vote briefings will be issued daily.
