Government activities for 9 to 15 Apr

Government has scheduled the following briefings/activities for the week 09 – 15 April 2018. The activities, which are aligned to the National Development Plan and outlined in the Medium Term Strategic Framework 2014-2019, are undertaken to build a better South Africa.

  • The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on State Funerals led by the Minister in the Presidency, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, will on Tuesday, 10 April, brief the nation on the logistical details of the memorial service of the late Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. The Official Memorial Service will be held at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday, 11 April.  The funeral service will also be held at the same venue – Orlando Stadium - on Saturday, 14 April, followed by the burial at Fourways Memorial Park Cemetery.  From Monday, 09 April, a schedule of memorial events taking place countrywide will be placed on the GCIS website.
  • The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies together with Gauteng Premier, Mr David Makhura will officially launch the InvestSA Gauteng One Stop Shop (OSS) on Tuesday, 10 April at the Gauteng Investment Centre in Sandton at 14:00 pm. The objective of the provincial InvestSA OSS is to provide professional service to all investors through specialist advisory, reduce regulatory inefficiencies, and reduce red tape for investors looking to invest in Gauteng.
