Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a SADC workshop on Friday, 19 February 2015 in Auckland Park.
The objective of the workshop is to deliberate and strategies on the SADC Media Awards 2016. The awards aim to recognize excellence in journalism in the area of print, photojournalism, television and radio as well as to encourage media practitioners in member states to cover issues pertaining to the region for the promotion of regional integration and cooperation.
The workshop will engage journalists on the elements that are required for SADC Media Awards entries and to also provide feedback on the outcomes of the 2015 Competition, highlight challenges as well as provide positive guidance on the South African Chapter of the Awards.
The awards entries are currently open and the workshop aims to assist journalists on the winning formula for the Awards.
