South Africa will host the inaugural Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference (BIEC) on 20 July 2022 at the Sandton International Convention Centre. The Conference will be opened by H.E. President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Conference will identify progress in the transformation of the economy, and provide information on efforts to increase exports, growth and job creation by black industrialists. It will also feature an exhibitors ‘marketplace’ with industrialists showcasing their products. The event will recognise excellence in business with Awards that will be given to business persons.
Among other objectives, the Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference will further highlight and showcase the importance of the Africa Free Continental Trade Area (AfCTA) in enhancing economic development and promoting intra-trade on the continent.
Members of the media are informed that the registration of the media will be extended to Monday, 18 July 2022 at 12:00. No late submissions will be accepted as clearance can take up to 48 hours after submission.
The following accreditation process will apply:
Monday, 18 July 2022 from 09h00 to 17h00
Tuesday. 19 July 2022 from 09h00 to 17h00
Wednesday, 20 July 2022 from 08:00 to 12:00
Accreditation will take place at the IDC Auditorium, 82 Grayston Drive, Sandton.
Media will not be able to get accredited once the centre closes.
Media are urged to collect their accreditation in person.
The accreditation system is live which means media is required to personally present themselves in order to collect their photo accreditation.
Required Documents for Live Accreditation:
- A copy of a valid passport/ID
- A press card or letter of assignment on a media house letterhead
