Thank you South Africa and international community: Sisulu Family

The Sisulu family would like to express its sincerest gratitude for the support, words of comfort, kind gestures, condolence messages, flowers and tributes that carried us during the trying time following the passing of our beloved mother, MaSisulu.

The weight of our loss was lessened as we realised that it was shared by so many. It created for us all a fellowship of the sorrowful; a bond to lighten our burden.

We are also greatly humbled at the extent of the honour and homage paid by Government, the Legislatures, the ANC, all political parties, the Clergy, the International Community and especially by ordinary South Africans that was bestowed upon our mother and on our family.

At every stage during the past fortnight, you carried in your media space and editorials messages of support and tributes that were conveyed not only to us but to the entire nation. Further you displayed a deep sensitivity in how you reported on our bereavement and the laying to rest of our mother.

Our appreciation for all of the fore and the solace they brought knows no bounds.
