South African Government congratulates Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma on Renaissance award

The South African Government congratulates the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, on receiving the international Renaissance Woman of the Year Award 2012.

The Palazzo Strozzi Renaissance Awards is aimed at helping under-privileged teenagers experience Renaissance culture at first hand and awards the annual prize for the recipient’s commitment to cultural and social philanthropy.

Acting GCIS CEO, Phumla Williams said, “Dr Zuma is an inspiration to all women, and a role model to many young African women. She is determined, courageous, and South Africa is proud of her achievements.”
