Government Communication and Information System’s Management Committee have come together to donate soccer goal posts, soccer balls and funds to Solwazi Primary School in Orange Farm, outside Johannesburg.

Solwazi Primary School was opened last year and with only ten classrooms, it is currently accommodating 600 pupils.

GCIS DCEO, Harold Maloka said, “As GCIS management we felt that there is a need to make a contribution towards human development as we want to build a country that is prosperous and that prosperity and developmental journey starts with a child. We felt when we were approached that we should make our contribution as GCIS management to make a difference in somebody’s life who is less fortunate.”

GCIS has called on all sectors of the community to do their part in the betterment of the less fortunate schools.

“As GCIS we are part and parcel of a developmental journey of building a better country in line with the national development plan,” said Maloka.
