Government to hold official memorial services in honor of Minister Chabane and his protectors

Government will on Thursday, 19 March 2015 hold an Official Memorial Service in honour of the Minister for Public Service and Administration, Ohm Collins Chabane who passed on in a tragic car accident together with two of his protectors on Sunday morning.

Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver a key note address at the official memorial service of Minister Chabane.

Police Minister Nkosinathi Nhleko, the National Commissioner, General Riah Phiyega, the management and staff of the South African Police Service will also hold an Official Memorial Service in remembrance of two of its members, Sergeants Lesiba Sekele and Lawrence Lentsoane.

Details are as follows:

Memorial Service for Sergeants Sekele and Lentsoane
Time: 10am
Venue: SAPS Tshwane Academy, Rebecca Street, Pretoria-West.

Memorial Service for Minister Chabane
Time: 12pm
Venue: Tshwane Events Centre in Pretoria.

Ministers who are expected to attend the memorial services are the following: 

Minister of Water and Environment Edna Molewa
Minister of Public Works Thulas Nxesi
Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga
Minister of Communication Faith Muthambi and
Deputy Minister of Public Service and Administration, Ayanda Dlodlo

Mourners attending the memorial services are requested to be seated 15 minutes before the start of proceedings.
