On Tuesday 14 September 2010, Government in partnership with SABC 1 brought you another episode of the reality show called “Rize Mzansi”. The tenth episode of this television series featured information on a recently introduced new program by the Department of Trade and Industry (dti) called the Enterprise Investment Program (EIP) focusing on the scheme offered to businesses in the manufacturing sector.

Government creates economic opportunities through the EIP with aims to increase employment and growth in line with the government’s National Industrial Policy Framework. The EIP supports medium to large scale investments as well as smaller enterprises with investment projects of 5 Million Rand and below.

In promoting growth and innovation in the manufacturing sector, EIP supports investments in both foreign and locally owned businesses by offering grants for investment in machinery, commercial vehicles, land and buildings.
