Minister of Energy Dipuo Peters and Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies on a state visit with President Jacob Zuma, were joined by French Minister of Industry, Energy and Digital Economy Eric Besson as they addressed a press conference after signing a memorundum of understanding (MOU) on the Roadmap Programme of Joint Cooperation involving all French Institutions i.e. Department of Energy, Nuclear Energy and Alternative Energy Commission (CEA), National Agency for Nuclear Security (ENDRA) and the French Development Agency. Other agreements were signed between French and South African companies including the Action plan of Cooperation between CEA and NECSA; EDF and ESKOM to set up a training centre for electrical engineers; and AREVA and NECSA to deepen common work in the field of energy production cycle and security of delivery and enrichment of uranium.
