Using the GCIS website
This page provides information about using the GCIS website, namely:
Recommended browsers and screen resolution
Recommended browsers for viewing the site are Internet Explorer 7.0, Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or later browser versions. The contact directory and profile database is optimised for Internet Explorer only.
The website will resize according to your computer's screen resolution settings, with the smallest screen resolution of 800x600 pixels.
Opening PDF files
The main format for documents on this website is HTML. In some cases, PDF versions of documents are provided to preserve the original layout and to assist users in the downloading or printing thereof.
To open PDF documents, you need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.
To download PDF documents to your computer, please follow the following steps:
When using Internet Explorer as your browser:
- With your mouse, RIGHT click on the link to the document you want to download
- In the drop-down menu, choose "Save Target as.."
- In the "Save As" window choose the location on your hard drive where you want to save the document and click on the SAVE button. The file will be downloaded to the location you have specified.
- Open your Acrobat Reader application and open the documents that you have downloaded.
When using Mozilla Firefox as your browser
- With your mouse, RIGHT click on the link to the document you want to download
- In the drop-down menu, choose "Save Link As.."
- In the "Save As" window choose the location on your hard drive where you want to save the document and click on the SAVE button. The file will be downloaded to the location you have specified.
- Open your Acrobat Reader application and open the documents that you have downloaded.
