Announcement on preferred site to host the Square Kilometre Array (SKA): 25 May

It is expected that an announcement regarding the preferred site for hosting the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) may be made on Friday, 25 May 2012, by the Office of the SKA Organisation, following an SKA Members' General Meeting, to be held at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.

In anticipation of this announcement, the Inter-Ministerial Committee on the SKA Project and the South African SKA Project Office have scheduled a media briefing as follows:

Date:     Friday, 25 May 2012  
Venue:  GCIS Auditorium, 365 Midtown Building, Cnr Madiba and Sisulu Streets ( (formerly known as Cnr Vermeulen and Prinsloo Streets), Pretoria.
Time:    15h00 for 15h30

NB: There will be a video link up to Imbizo Media Centre, Ground Floor, 120 Plein Street, Cape Town
