Vuk’uzenzele (SA Government magazine)

The Chief Directorate is primarily focused on producing Vuk’uzenzele. Vuk’uzenzele focuses on socio-economic oppotunities created by government, and how to access these opportunities. The magazine covers amongst others:

It has a print order of 1,6 million copies which are circulated in all nine provinces, in large part door-to-door in deep rural, rural and peri-urban areas.

The magazine is published in all official languages, but the majority of the print-run is in English. It is a free publication that appears six times a year. One of these six editions is a bumper, 48-pager that includes the State of the Nation address as well as highlights of the Programme of Action and has a print-run of 2-million copies.

It is also published in Braille for the visually-impaired, while the upper Living Standards Measures (LSMs) can access the website.

The chief directorate works closely with internal services like News Service and also has extensive contact with different government departments on campaigns and current news.
