Structure and Functions


The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GCIS is the official spokesperson for government, and attends and services Cabinet. He also chairs the GCIS Executive Committee (Exco), a strategising body dealing with issues such as government messages, communication strategies and government corporate image and branding. The GCIS Exco integrates, co-ordinates and rationalises the work of communication structures in government.
